ChessApp

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using ChessApp, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. The Service

ChessApp lets you track chess players across FIDE and chess-results.com, receive tournament pairing notifications, maintain notation for your games, and (on the Advanced plan) generate AI-assisted opponent research and game analysis reports.

3. Accounts

You must provide an accurate email address and are responsible for keeping your password confidential.
You are responsible for all activity under your account.
You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings → Delete My Account.

4. Plans, Subscriptions & Billing

New accounts get a 7-day free trial with Basic-tier access. After the trial, continued use requires a paid subscription to one of the following tiers:

Basic — ₹99/month: unlimited player tracking, tournament notifications, and notation — no AI features.

Advanced — ₹299/month: everything in Basic, plus AI Research (up to 10 players/month) and AI Analysis (up to 10 games/month). Usage limits reset on the 1st of each calendar month and do not roll over.

Both subscriptions are billed and managed through Google Play Billing. Pricing is shown in the app and on the Play Store listing before purchase.
Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel any time from the Google Play Store's Subscriptions page — access continues until the end of the paid period.
Refunds are handled per Google Play's standard refund policy; we do not process refunds directly.
We may change subscription pricing with advance notice; changes apply from your next renewal.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to: abuse or automate requests to the app or the third-party sites it reads from (FIDE, chess-results.com) in a way that degrades service for others; attempt to circumvent AI feature usage limits; resell or redistribute app data or generated reports commercially without permission; or use the app for any unlawful purpose.

6. Third-Party Data

Player ratings, tournament results, and pairings are sourced from FIDE and chess-results.com, which we do not control. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or availability of this third-party data, and ChessApp is not affiliated with or endorsed by FIDE or Chess-Results.com. AI-generated research and analysis are provided for informational and coaching purposes only and may contain errors — they are not a substitute for a qualified human coach.

7. Intellectual Property

The ChessApp name, design, and code are owned by the developer. Chess game data you enter or upload remains yours; by using AI Analysis/Research you grant us permission to process it (including sending it to our AI provider) solely to generate your report.

8. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

ChessApp is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including missed tournament notifications or inaccuracies in third-party or AI-generated data.

9. Termination

You may stop using the app and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, including abuse of AI feature limits or third-party data sources.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
